Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is packed with characters, and, as with any game in the series, you will need to consider their Likes and Interests to raise their Support Level and recruit them as companions.
Giving gifts is one of the main ways to raise support points with a particular character, and, even more importantly, if they like (or really like) the gift, you will earn even more support points with them.
You will need to give each character at least one gift before they can become recruitable, and the game will clearly show what Support Level, Renown Level and any other requirements that you will need to meet before your current Flame Lord can successfully ask them to join you.
Handing a character their first gift will also open up the chance for you to share a meal with them at an Inn, among other things, which can be used as another method to raise your Support Level with them.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave appears to be intentionally vague about which gifts are best suited to be given to whichever character. The gifts themselves will have descriptions that state that they are “primarily enjoyed by book lovers,” for example, which you can then use our table below to search for a character that likes books or reading. Your options for a gift like that would then be Aurora, Benditz, Bertrand, Fianna, Ludia, Nydine, Orchel, Sirocco, Tialla and Ursula.
I wish that the game was a little clearer for everyone who comes to play it, but you will need to think around who would be suited to a particular gift more than in recent games in the series.
