In a recent interview with the game director of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Naoki Hamaguchi, has shared that he took fan-feedback into consideration about the difficulty of the story to the previous game, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and how he has a plan to help under-leveled players still have an enjoyable ride.
The news comes from an interview with IGN Japan, where Hamaguchi shares about the upcoming option to automatically adjust your player level to the recommended number for when more challenging parts of the story happen as the game progresses.
It is no secret that Final Fantasy VII Revelation is going to be massive, and that is meant literally as just recently, Hamaguchi shared the file size of the game will likely exceed 200GB.
Hamaguchi shares the feedback he received from the second game made his team implement this new option. The feature is mostly designed for players who focus the most on the story and neglect much of the side content. This new ability can make the harder missions more forgiving for those who haven’t explored as much to reach that recommended level.
The feature seems like an optional setting that can be turned on as the story gets deeper. The game is designed for leveling to be achieved through exploration and loads of side-quests, but not everyone is patient enough to wait around that long, so being able to still be ready for the difficult missions without a powerful loadout should help the players who can’t wait to experience the finale.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation arrives on April 8 next year, and fans should expect the unexpected as this game intends to close out over a decades worth of build-up in a satisfying fashion.
